Week 35 Day 6 - Baby Shower Eve

10:46pm

Busy, busy day. We are still at my mom's house finishing up some last minute decorations for the baby shower tomorrow.

I am on my phone so it's hard to type.

Here's a little preview of what we are making!

Hopefully we will be done soon because I need to get my beauty sleep. I am going to be the only dude amongst much estrogen tomorrow. Fuuunnnnn....

See you all tomorrow!

Week 35 Day 5 - Chuck Taylor's and Pig's Feet?

9:10pm

Well it's almost baby shower time! I am not looking forward to lugging all the gifts home. I am not even sure where we are going to put it all. We have so much already, from people that have sent the gifts straight to our home. Yikes! Time for a bigger house!

Got my first pair of Chuck Taylors tonight. My wife had to pick up some shoes for the baby shower, so naturally, I get the second pair(because it was buy one, get one half off). Thanks Famous Footwear. Do you know what Chuck Taylors are? Converse!

I am only about 40 years late to that fashion party....

Here is a 34 week photo of the wife, and the spoiled little baby.

I am going to go eat my taco bell. We got some new "products" in at work. Made me crave mexican food. Hope you enjoy your meals after this one!

Mmm, pig's feet!

See, you could have my job. That's what I deal with on a daily basis. And lot's of fish, too. Nothing like smelling like a dirty salmon when you come home from work. Ask my wife, she will tell you.

Week 35 Day 4 - Love With Food

7:24pm

Love With Food

www.lovewithfood.com

$12 per month

Woohoo, another subscription box. I'm sure you are all getting sick of these by now. Either that, or you are so interested, and bought one of each. Yes? No?

Either way, this box is a good one. It's only 12 dollars per month, if you buy it on a montly basis. It differs if you buy a longer "plan". Like an annual subscription, turns out to be only 10 dollars per month. I can barely buy anything at the grocery store for 10 dollars. So to get a box full, and then shipped to my door, is pretty impressive. Oh, and did I mention that for every sale, they donate a meal to a hungry child? Read more on their website....

Here is what was in my box -

Nice packaging

List of everything included.

Yumm!

Organic candies

Even comes with a $50 gift card, to nakedwines.com

Full box!

This box is definitly worth every penny. The contents are nutritious, and pure. The price can't be beat. And the fact that they donate as well, makes it a great choice for yourself, or for a gift. Try one out, you'll look forward to the next!

Not much news on the baby front. Same old, same. We did get a couple more gifts, but instead of spoiling them on here, we will share them at the baby shower. Or at least I think that is what my wife has planned. I let her decide all of that stuff. It's easier that way.

I picked up about 5 pounds of Salt Water Taffy today at work. Apparently it wasn't selling, so they discounted it huge, for the employees. As you can see, I paid $1 per bag. And with my employee discount, my total came out to $1.93. Not bad huh?

Week 35 Day 3 - Supplet Mommy Subscription Box

1:03pm

My wife owes me big time. I cleaned the whole house today, top to bottom. Probably not as well as she would have, but hey, I try.

All counters cleaned, carpet vacuumed, tile scrubbed. Bathroom is spotless.

Dinner is already being prepared, it's just a good day so far. Hopefully it stays that way.

Went to the OB/GYN yesterday for her first vaginal exam. A little uncomfortable for me, I guess, since her doctor has to go up in there, and he's not a bad-looking dude.

Anyways, she is dilated half a centimeter, which he said is good, and normal. Also that the baby is head-down, which is the right angle, as she prepares to come out! My wife is worried that she is going to go into labor early, but the doctor said there are no signs showing that would be the case. However, I don't think there really are any signs for it. When she is ready to come, she's ready to come.

We received a few more gifts yesterday, one that I want to share with you today.

As you know, I LOVE subscription boxes, and currently we are interested in boxes specially made for expecting parents (usually moms). So when Supplet reached out to me to check out one of their boxes, I was all for it.

Supplet Mommy Box

www.supplet.com

39.99 per box including shipping

We got the box a couple days ago, and right away my wife wanted to open it up. I told her she had to wait so that I could take some photos and write up some notes. So, she sighed and waited until I was ready. So here is what was inside -

Yogi Herbal Tea, promotes healthy milk supply

Nourishing Pregnancy Cookie

Chocolate bars!

Sunscreen, organic

Stretch Mark Cream, organic

Natural approach to the baby's first year

Complete Package

I think this is a great subscription box. Would I pay 40 dollars a month for it? Probably not, although the book itself is listed at 13 dollars, stretch cream is pricy, and the convenience of this box, might make it worth the money. I do really like that they focus on natural and organic products. Also the boxes are even eco-friendly. That is becoming more and more important these days. Also they build your box based on where you are in your pregnancy, personalized for everyone.

I do think that this box would make a great gift. My wife was excited about it, and had the stretch mark cream all over her stomach before we even finished looking at everything.

Check them out, they are worth a look.

Guys, these make great gifts for your wife!

Week 35 Day 2 - ManHands Soap Co.

1:34pm

My wife called me earlier and said she is having pains in her stomach area, she thinks they might be contractions. Most likely Braxton-Hicks, but you never really know. We could technically have the baby anyday. Hopefully not, because it's a little early, and we aren't quite ready for her yet! At least wait until after the baby shower, little one.

I got up early and washed my car, brought it home and waxed it, too. I know that most men would like a son to be able to teach this type of stuff to, but I am just as excited to teach my daughter how to do these things. She will know how to wax a car, and how to change the oil. If we have a son later on down the road, he will learn too. I am not real knowledgable when it comes to all that car stuff, but I know enough, and it all comes in handy.

Manly Scented Soap

This one is for the guys! I had the opportunity to sample a few of these soaps from Man Hands Soap Company. As soon as I saw their website, I instantly thought - HOW COOL!

What is better than smelling like your favorite manly thing? Want to smell like money? They have a Cash-scented soap.

Want to smell like the race track? Sure, they have that one too.

How about a nice sweet cigar? Got you covered.

Tell me that is not the coolest thing since sliced bread? Check out what I got in the mail!

Quality packaging, neatly organized.

A magnet for the fridge! Check them out!

Legit stuff, love the coconut oil!

It's funny because it really does smell like cash! Still smells great on the body, too.

Scent is spot-on! But still smells good!

This one is something I couldn't use everyday. But hey, it smells like it's supposed to!

All of these are made by hand. The packaging is superb, they look like something you would find at your local store.

Make sure to check out their website for all of the different scents. Some are really "interesting".

These would make great gifts for the dad, or any man in your life.

They are around 7 dollars each. I think the value is worth it just for the uniqueness, and the laughs you will get as you give these as a gift. But, they are fully functional too!

Some scents available include dill pickle, democrat, beer, margarita, baseball glove, fresh cut grass, new car scent, pizza, spring break, summer citronella, top soil, and tons more.

Thanks, Man Hands!

Week 35 Day 1 - Sleep Trumps Overtime

10:20pm

The reason I am writing so late is -

A) We were out at the amusement park all day.

B) I was at work for 12 hours.

C) We got arrested, after a brawl at a restaurant.

The correct answer is : B

I ended up getting stuck at work for 12 hours today. The overtime is nice, but sometimes you just want to be home.

So now that you had your PregoForMen pop quiz of the day, did you guess the correct answer?

Only a few more days until the baby shower. I think we have everything pretty much set. Until it comes to last minute, then I'm sure we will think of a million things that need to be done. Isn't that how it always works?

Time to eat some dinner and get to bed. I have received lots of goodies in the mail this weekend, and can't wait to share them all with you! Stay tuned!

Week 34 Day 7 - Time To Grow Up

9:53pm

I have been thinking about it a lot. I am so excited for all of the new adventures life is going to bring. The inclusion of one more to our family is just awesome. I am excited to raise a daughter, and trust me, eight months ago, I was scared, nervous, and far from "excited". Not that I don't want a daughter, I just wasn't ready to grow up I guess.

Sometimes I wish I was out with friends on the weekends, or that I could just up and do whatever I want. But I can't anymore, I have priorities now. I am not a kid anymore. As much as I don't want to grow up, I have to. And why wait? Why prolong the inevitable?

That is why I am excited. I am grateful that this little girl has forced me to grow up. I have to be a man now, and be the father/husband that my wife and my daughter deserve.
