Week 18 Day 6

We know the gender!!! So exciting!

Am I going to tell you? NO.

We are planning a way to tell everyone. Within the next couple days. So expect a phone call. And then a day or two after that I will announce it on here for non-family members. We have new pictures and everything!

Spent all night making "gender reveal" cupcakes! What a pain but it turned out really cool! You cannot tell what the gender is until you bite into one and see what color is filled inside! I love secrets.

Week 18 Day 5

Just in awe about all this Boston bombing stuff going on. They have one suspect shot and killed after a shoot out last night. The other is still at large but it seems like they know where he is. They are brothers. Unfortunately it seems like a huge hoax from the government just like Sandy Hook seemed. There is so much hidden information and everything is so broadly explained that I'm not sure I believe it all. There was proof that the same lady who was killed in the Sandy Hook shooting was also injured in the Boston attack. Now how could that be? Different name, same exact photo of the lady. Interesting. Also, controversial laws were being passed while everyone's attention was focused on Boston. So, believe what you'd like, but a lot of it is fishy.

I have to work at 1pm and my wife is at work. She can feel the baby moving around now. She tries to get me to feel it but I always miss it. Pretty soon it will be kicking! Tomorrow we find out the gender, however I don't know if that means everyone else will! So don't get too excited.

Second suspect is caught!! Unfortunately someone else will just continue it eventually. The war with terror will never end.

I'm about to leave work. The other guy who I was closing with called off. So I had to close by myself. It's not really a big del it is just very boring being here by myself. The first 4 hours I have coworkers here but the last 4 I was by myself. Time goes slow because there isn't much to do. Oh well.

Week 18 Day 4

I'm off today but my wife woke me up while getting ready for work. I'm usually up early anyways. I'm getting old I can't sleep in like I used to.

It's raining like crazy outside. All kinds of flash flood warnings are on the news. Even yesterday my work had a small pond forming in the parking lot. As I am writing this a huge lightning bolt struck nearby and knocked our power out for a minute or two. It's back on now.

Comcast is supposed to be coming o install our Internet this morning between 8am-10am but I wouldn't be surprised if they couldn't do it. Number one because if the crazy weather. And number two because I'm not even sure if we are allowed to have Comcast here with our association rules. Hopefully they will be able to tell me because the owner has n idea. AT&T should be available but for whatever reason they keep telling us that our particular unit is not available for service at this time so I'm not waiting around. We need Internet more than television. We'll see what happens.

Apparently I'm a day off.... I thought I was right but according to the pregnancy tracker, and our due date, I'm wrong. I've been wrong before so this is no surprise.

Due to the flooding being out of control around here, the Comcast installer called me and said I would have to reschedule. So I did. I rescheduled to Monday. However I got to thinking, I'm not sure if I really even want Comcast Internet. I decided to call AT&T one more time to tell them that we want their dsl service but can't figure out why every other neighbor can get it besides us. She informed me that it showed as available in her system so they must have recently changed it. I decided to get the dsl through them because we can bundle it with our directv. So now they are sending a kit for me to set up Internet with. Hopefully it will be here Saturday. I have to go buy a modem at Best Buy or wherever because I opted out of the one you can purchase through them. They overcharge and it's just not worth it. So I had to call Comcast back and cancel with them. They were very easy about it.

I guess there's also some sinkholes popping up around the city. What in the world is going on lately?! Explosions, floods, now sinkholes??

Went to best buy and got a dsl modem so that we are all set for Internet. Just have to wait for the start up lot to arrive now. I saw all kinds of flooding all over the place while I was out. Fields turned into small lakes, roads closed due to standing water, detours everywhere, not good! Luckily there isn't any water around where we live. Even if there was we are on the 2nd story so it wouldn't matter much other than our vehicles.

I received an email from our insurance agent stating that if we add renters insurance for a coverage amount more than we will even need, our monthly cost actually goes DOWN around ten dollars because of the extra multi-discounts they can apply. So of course I added it, why wouldn't you? Plus all of our personal belongings are now insured. Great!

It's getting to that time of day when the hardest decision has to be made... What is for dinner? And I still have no idea and I know she doesn't either. She should be home real soon so we will figure it out ten. Until then I guess I will work out.

Well we went to OfficeMax to get a dry erase board calendar. That way bills and other important dates are organized.

We then went to a little family restaurant for dinner, it was pretty good. It's on the south side of town. Lots of hillbillies there.

Then went to target to get a couple thins. I feel like we are at a store everyday. That's why we need to make more money. I needed some replacement heads for my electric razor. 25 bucks. What a ripoff. I actually was going to get the wrong ones which were more expensive, but luckily my wife noticed that they weren't correct. Sometimes I don't know how she knows these things but she does. She's very good at remembering small details. Me, not so much.

She bought belly butter by Burt's Bees. She's getting quite the bump now and her cousin recommended to start using that on her stomach. It really helps with stretch marks. She is going to start using it ASAP.

Week 18 Day 3

A stormy, gloomy day. I need to start dieting again. Or at least watching what I eat. Have been eating a few too many donuts lately. People probably have a hard time figuring out between my wife and I, which person is the pregnant one!

She made tuna steaks for dinner. Mine was really good but she didn't eat much of hers. Probably because mine was medium rare and hers had to be cooked well done. Tuna steaks are meant to be rare.

We talked about all the things we still have to get done before baby. Create registries, pregnancy pictures, announce gender, baby shower, etc. There is a lot to do in these next few months.

Week 18 Day 2

Made some bacon and some more buffalo chicken already this morning at work. I need to start making some of this stuff at home for dinner but I don't have an electric skillet. I can do quite a bit with the Presto Electric Skillet I have at work.

Only a few more days until we are going to find out the gender. I'm not sure how we are going to tell everyone yet. I'm letting her decide that. She wants to make it fun. Sounds good to me!

She thinks she felt the baby move for the first time today. Not just a flutter but an actual movement. Should be possible. Don't ask me I have no idea.

Only an hour left of work. I wish it would go by quicker!

Almost 2000 views on my blog. Wow. That's pretty impressive considering I haven't shared it with many. Hope it keeps climbing!

She made some steak, mashed potatoes, and really good mushrooms for dinner. She cooks them in Worcestershire sauce and some other secret ingredients and its delicious. We watched "Ready For Love". It's a new tv show on NBC on Tuesday nights. I think that's what it was called. Kind of like the bachelor.

She got a random nose bleed tonight. For the first time ever. Pregnancy related? She also says that she feels short of breath a lot and that she still is getting used to the weight gain and "comfortability issues". (I don't think comfortability is a real word)

I have a fresh mango cut up for part of my lunch tomorrow. I'm excited because I LOVE fresh mango! They are usually so expensive that it's just not even worth it. Especially after being in Costa Rica and seeing mangoes littering the ground just about everywhere you look. Come to the United States and they are at least a buck a piece.

Week 18 Day 1

Got a lot done today. Dishes are done, laundry is done, oil in my car is changed, house is vacuumed, uncle and grandpa stopped by for a little bit, went grocery shopping and have dinner cooking in the crockpot, now going to workout!

News is breaking that there were two explosions at the finish line of the Boston marathon today. What is this world coming to? It's sick how many people out there enjoy harming innocent people. It's only getting worse and worse. Sometimes I wonder how much longer civilization will be around. Seriously. North Korea is always causing problems, wars going on everywhere, drug addiction epidemics, it's ridiculous.

Apparently there was another bomb that went off at the JFK public library? I think I got that right. Anyways, 2 bombs in Boston and one somewhere else...

I made Hawaiian chicken in the crockpot for dinner with some white rice. It was very easy and I liked it a lot. My wife isn't a huge Asian food fan and that's what it tasted like. But she still ate it and liked it. She made our lunches for work tomorrow and WOW did my sandwich look good. I am actually excited for it. I don't know I that is normal but I don't care.

Just watched the Blackhawks win and she is already sleeping. Also just ordered Comcast Xfinity Internet to be installed on Thursday so hopefully they won't tell me it's not allowed here or some other problem like we had with Directv. It all went through fine on the website so I'm thinking its available here. We also got all of our bills/accounts switched over to this address tonight. So a few things got accomplished today.

Time for bed we both work in the morning.

Week 17 Day 7

Beautiful day here. It's in the 60s and sunny. Supposed to get to low 70s but I don't think that will happen.

My wife is feeling pretty sick from her prenatal vitamins. Every time she takes them she doesn't feel good. We tried different ones but they are all the same.

I am at work until 5pm. Pretty easy day here.

Still nice out. Gotta run to Target. Gonna take the bike!
