Week 27 Day 6 - Men's Pregnancy Symptoms

10:11pm

Hawks win! I haven't had a change to update today until now. Pretty busy at work all day, then came home and helped my wife go over our baby registry for the final time. Trying to narrow down everything so that we get exactly what we need, and with no duplicates across different stores either. It is very time-consuming, she has been working on it for a few weekends now. I think her mom and sister are coming over tomorrow to help figure out the baby shower stuff. We have the invitations picked out. Just have to get the invite list and addresses all straightened away. Another pain in the butt!

I think with the whole pregnancy thing, I have showed some symptoms as well as my wife.

  1. Weight Gain - I have gained probably 10 or 15 pounds since we found out she was pregnant. Stress probably plays a factor, baby's room used to be my workout room, and time consuming planning activities doesn't help either. Plus healthy food is expensive.
  2. Attitude Change- My attitude has become more "serious". I don't think like a boy anymore. Now I know what it feels like to "grow up" quick. I don't care about going out, or buying new things, it's all about baby now, and providing for the family.
  3. Hair Loss - Stress causes hair loss! I'm sure I have lost some already. Plus I am just getting older and that's what happens, I guess. Time for some good hair loss shampoo! I have heard good things about Regenepure DR. It's 25 dollars a bottle, and contains Ketoconazole, which is proven to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth by disrupting the production of DHT. It's also anti-dandruff. You can get it online at www.regenepure.com.
  4. Tired Constantly - With all the stuff there is to do, I am exhausted. I feel like all we ever do is work, or baby stuff. The occasional hockey game is watched, but usually while balancing some other tasks too. I can't even imagine how busy we will be the first couple years of our baby's life. Yikes!

While we were going through the baby registry, my wife showed me a gadget that you set reminders on. It reminds you when to check the diaper again, or check on the baby sleeping, or feed the baby. Kind of like a "How to have a baby" for dummies book. But not a book. She said it's for dads and that I should have one. What is that supposed to mean!? Why do I need a reminder? Because I forget everything? I guess she has a good point.

Week 27 Day 5 - Jacked-In-A-Box Review

8:10pm

We both had long days today. I just feel exhausted. Not too sure why, work wasn't that bad. She said that she was non-stop at her job today though. She didn't even take any breaks.

I was thinking very seriously about something earlier while I was at work. "I could get a lot more done, if there was less to do." Stupid, I know. Almost as stupid as "North West", Kim and Kanye's new daughter's name. Really? I hope it's a media hype, and they announce that it's not the real name in the near future. They are good at making money off of hype's like this.

Who's ready for a new prego picture?

Oh, did you want one of my wife? Here you go...

Almost to the Third Trimester!

Jacked-In-A-Box

www.jacked-in-a-box.com

$15 a month

Guy's this is one for us! If your into hitting the gym (like I am, or I should say "used to" since I haven't as much as I should!) then this is something to be interested in. Every month you get a box with 5-7 samples handpicked by Jim Stoppani and other editors of Muscle & Fitness, FLEX, and Men's Fitness magazines.

I got lucky though. This month featured MuscleTech products, which are normally the most expensive. It looks like they teamed up with them to provide some extra products. Check it out!

Thanks MuscleTech for giving me even more great stuff!

T-Shirt, X-large, a little too big for me :(

Nano Vapor, a pre-workout drink, this stuff works! Gives a ton of energy, not for the faint of heart!

MSRP is around 60 dollars I believe.

A shaker cup. A really NICE shaker cup. You put your protein in the bottom and liquid in the top, mix in when you are ready. The strainer looking piece, blends the mix while you shake. These are usually at least 10 dollars a piece.

More samples included!

Everything from the box.

I have had N.O. Xplode, and Assault. Both were great products. Ate one of the protein bars on the way to work today, it was actually good.

Great offers for Muscle & Fitness magazine subscription included as well.

This box is FOR SURE worth the price. Men love this stuff. I am willing to bet that at least 80% of men out there have had some sort of interest in working out. Most need the boost from supplements. It really does help, and this box gives them the opportunity to explore some of the options out there. Would make a great gift. Good age ranges for this stuff are 18-30 years old, I would say.

*Disclaimer - I did not receive any compensation for reviewing this product. I do get them at a reduced rate, or free. I will never recommend a product that I don't honestly approve of. My guarantee to my readers -  PregoForMen

Week 27 Day 4 - World's Best Husband Trophy

10:04pm

I'm trying to watch Game 7 of the NBA finals. I really hope San Antonio wins it. I can't stand the Miami Heat anymore. They have talent, but they are such crybabies.

My wife and I took a nice long walk today after I got home from work. My grandma sent home some of her homemade spicy pickles with my uncle today or yesterday. Not sure. So we walked over there to pick them up. It was a beautiful night for it. And my wife always talks about how she would like to get out and walk more often. The doctor said she should keep active daily, it's good for her while pregnant. I actually wear a FitBit pedometer every day. Today, between work and our walk, I took 15,000+ steps. A daily goal(which is hard to get) is around 10,000 per day.

She's looking at diaper cakes online right now as a possibility for the baby shower. Not sure if we would make our own or purchase one. I can't imagine they are very cheap.

I'm actually sitting here waiting for a "World's Best Husband" trophy right now since I worked all day, came home and walked with my wife after taking out the garbage, then came home and made dinner and did the dishes. I think that's pretty impressive, although most moms would probably look at me and say "is that all?"

Some of our flowers in our entrance way. They are looking good!

I'm excited that I received a true men's box to review. (When I get a chance, that is). It's all workout related stuff! My favorite! So stay tuned...

Week 27 Day 3 - The Itty Bitty Boutique

12:50pm

Don't you love when pay day is really just pay your bills day. I can't wait for the day when I can enjoy my income. I get a lot of "warnings" from other parents that the day I have spending money will be at least 18 years from now. Haha. I believe it. I don't know how my mom dealt with me for so long. I always got the best of everything. There are benefits of being an only child, you know. Now that I am on my own, I see how hard it is just to get by. My wife and I both work full-time, and it's still hard to afford the things we want. We are fortunate that we can provide enough to live comfortably. However, we don't drive BMW's or wear a new outfit every day of the week. But that's ok with me. I don't need any of that stuff to be happy. I have realized that wants and needs are very different.

It's actually kind of funny. I give myself around 50 dollars per week. I buy snacks at work, get gas for the week, and whatever spending money is left, is mine to use freely(usually none). The rest of my check goes to my wife's account(yes, married men, you might see this someday, completely normal, hard to get used to at first, but usually for the better). She buys groceries, pays all the bills, gets all of our household necessities, and the occasional new eyeliner. When you get married, your money is no longer your money. You have to contribute and "share". Like I said, it take a while to get used to, but it's not so bad.

Just got done doing a little "FaceTiming" with my daughter ;)

Remember when I got the Hungry Globetrotter Subscription Box? I mentioned that they started a new Hot Sauce Club, and was really interested in it. Well, well, well.... Guess what came in the mail? (I would hope you would get where I am going with this)

The sauce is alright. I am more of a vinegary-kick kind of guy when it comes to hot sauce (think Cholula, Frank's Red Hot, Louisiana). This sauce is almost "tropical". You can taste the mango, and it has sort of a cinnamon flavor to it. But that is the whole point of this club. It is NOT to burn your mouth off, or give you flavors that you have already experienced from the grocery store aisle. The flavors are unique, new, and interesting.

Monkey Sauce!

Tried some on a french fry!
Now I have to be honest with you here. I am not sure if this was just a sample, or a full package for the month. The monthly cost for the club is 14.95. However, this sauce itself retails for 3.99 a bottle on www.monkey-sauce.com. Hmm..?

Week 27 Day 2 - Out Of The Box Sampler

10:18am

I must say, blogging has it's perks. I have been receiving all kinds of packages lately. I am thinking that I might have to add another page, just for product reviews. Hopefully everyone enjoys these products, I won't write about anything that I don't approve of.

Yesterday's mail:

Next week we will be able to take some new belly photos with our pregnancy stickers that we have. It jumps from 24 weeks to 28 weeks. There isn't much new to talk about with the pregnancy, other than we are actually getting some decisions made. Baby shower invitation samples are on their way here, so we can decide. Bedding set is decided on, I think we are even close to deciding on the name!

If you haven't seen my first Father's Day card, look at what my wife got me!

Even from my baby girl! :)

June - Men's "Spoiled Rotten" Sampler

$25.00 per month/box

I have to say, I have seen a few monthly boxes now, and this one is yet another great idea. The box is LOADED with "manly"samples from several different shops around the web.(Although, this is a special men's version, the boxes are usually not just for men) Mostly from Etsy.com. Etsy is like an Ebay storefront for crafts and hobbies. People handcraft soaps, clothes, decorations, and just about anything else, and then sell it in their "shop". This sampler club combines several of the shop's products and allows you to try them out. The shops then give you a promo code so that you save some money when you are ready to order a full size product. I couldn't believe how many great things they fit into that tiny box. It would take you a few months just to try everything! This box is far worth the money, just scroll down and look at everything included.

Let's open this box!

Marinade spice kits

Some homemade lollipops between the marinades

Look at all those promo codes! Use them! Great companies

Look at all the sponsors. This box is the real deal.

I think men deserve being spoiled ALL of the time!

So many different quality products. How did they all fit?

This one smells like candy!

This handmade lotion is nice as well!

Pretty impressive I'd say. 25 bucks for everything included in this box. I would love to see what the other boxes look like, not necessarily just for men. But, being a guy, I will get plenty of use out of these products. I know my wife is a little jealous!
