Week 34 Day 4 - Clean Up After Your Kids!

8:50am

We got quite a few gifts in the mail yesterday. Lots of good stuff for the baby! From relatives and friends that are unable to attend the baby shower. It was very nice of them to still send gifts. Like I have said a million times, she sure is one spoiled little girl.

I made some Mexican Carnitas (pork roast) for dinner last night. I really like these little packets that you can buy at the grocery store. It is the sauce completely prepared, just add it all to the slow cooker and you have delicious mexican carnitas. They are made by Frontera Grill. Yum.

My wife showed me a little trick yesterday. I really like Mexican rice, and she makes it pretty well. But we both also love couscous. What she does is take one cube of these:
And boils it in 2 cups of water, and a little butter or olive oil. When that is boiling you stir in the whole box of couscous.

Take it off the heat, cover it for 5 minutes, then fluff it with a fork.

You now have delicious "fake" Mexican rice. Try it sometime.

Crumby Kids?

I just watched an article on the Today Show about a restaurant owner who bullied a family because the family was messy. The kids dropped some crumbs of muffins, or scones, on the floor and the restaurant owner got upset and harassed them about it. The mom claims that she tried to clean up the table and floor before they left, but because of how they were treated, she stopped and got out of there as quickly as possible.

It is now a viral, worldwide topic, because the restaurant owner posted photos of the floor on her Facebook.

Do you think that it is acceptable for kids to be a little bit messy? Is it the restaurant's obligation to clean up after or should the parent? Also is commenting/harassing the patrons the right action?
