9:59pm
Coming close to a month old already... Where has time gone? Everyone warned us not to blink, because they grow so quickly. It seems like just yesterday, that I was seeing her coming out of places that I don't think I care to witness again. But it's ok, because every day she is becoming more and more a part of our normal routine. It's like she has always been here.
She has become very talented at launching spit-up, and even poop. She could out-distance me, that's for sure. But we aren't going to compete, because that would just be a mess.
She spit-up all over my wife today, while she was trying to burp her. She seems to burp, and then spit-up, regularly. We basically plan for it now. A couple days ago, she tricked my wife into thinking that she was done pooping, but while the last wipe before a fresh diaper covered up any sort of potential hazard, a forceful stream of recycled breastmilk made it's way through her little body and into an airborne disaster. My wife's face was priceless. Mostly because the poop covered half of her upper body, but also because she couldn't believe it! I found it funny, and impressive.

Day 10 - The Reason I Slept On The Couch Last Night
2:41pm
So this is a first for me...
We have a really nice, comfortable, new, memory foam king size bed. I love it. We both do. I would really miss it if for some reason I didn't have it anymore.
Last night, Brynlee would just not stop fussing. She ate, still cried. Changed her diaper, still cried. My wife even held her. Cried.
At about 4am, after tossing and turning and barely sleeping, I decided that there was no way I was going to be able to wake up at 6am and get to work with her crying.
I told my wife, "sorry, but I have to go sleep on the couch". She said OK. She understood. She hadn't slept much either.
The ironic part of this story is that at 6:30am, when I finally got off the couch, I went into the bedroom to find this....

Week 38 Day 2 - Passed Out Dad
1:23pm
I could probably write a whole story about the dangers of eating three hot dogs for lunch, like I just did. But I really don't care, because they were delicious. Actually, they were expired. Almost a month, expired. But I ate them anyways. Why? Because I am a MAN. And that's what we do.
Although, we usually don't do this....
Last night, after I wrote yesterday's post, we continued to organize the baby's room. I had been up at 5:30am that morning, followed by an exhausting day at work. Then a family party.
Reallly, I was pretty darn tired.
Most of the following I do not remember....
My wife said that I fell asleep. On the floor. Against the baby's crib. With my iPad underneath my head, like a pillow, and my iPhone still in my hand.
Anyone that knows me, knows that this is not that hard to believe. I am glued to my phone. Then again, who isn't these days?
I wish she had a picture.
Here I was, sleeping on her new pink shaggy carpet. It looks really comfortable, so I don't really blame myself. But how did I end up on the floor in the first place? I must have been so tired that I don't even remember sitting down? Apparently, I wasn't helping organize too much.
I have a feeling that once she is here, this type of situation will happen quite a few more times. Long, late nights feeding, and comforting the baby. I know that many parents find that sleep is not as prevalent as before-baby. There are loads of stories about parents falling asleep in the nurseries, and other odd places.
I will remember last night as the FIRST of many future awkward sleeping locations.
(Also, if I don't write for a few days, assume that I am in the hospital for hotdog food poisoning.)

Week 32 Day 2 - Am I Ready? Not At All.
2:18pm
32 weeks. Wow. It's coming down to the end of the pregnancy journey. But it's only the beginning of the REAL journey. Fatherhood.
Am I nervous? Absolutely.
Am I ready? Not at all.
Am I excited? You bet.
I think that writing this blog has prepared me a lot more than if I hadn't. I have learned the most from my wife, and doctor's visits. But this blog has "forced" me to read more, and do some extra research on baby-related things that I'm sure I wouldn't have otherwise. Every time my wife says "Come on Kev, your on the computer again?", I know that it's for my own good. It might seem like I spend too much time online, but I really don't. Just enough time to write for the day, maybe check up on my Facebook page, interact with some of my Twitter followers, and possibly upload a picture or two to Instagram. I can do all of that in less than 45 minutes a day. Thanks to technology, I can actually do it all from just my iPhone.
Today, we are going to our last attempt at a good 3d/4d ultrasound face picture. The last two were pretty unsuccessful. If she doesn't want to smile for the camera today, then so be it. You can't force a baby to move inside the womb. We'll see.

Seen this cropduster flying over our house today. I have never seen anything like this before. Welcome to the country!

Week 30 Day 4 - 10 Weeks to 30 Weeks Photo Timeline
I have to work the late shift tonight.. 2pm to 10pm. Not fun. But it will be extremely easy, so that's one way to look at it. Just got off the motorcycle, had to go drop my wife's debit card off to her work, because she forgot it at home. Happens probably twice a week...... However, it gives me a good reason to get out and enjoy the weather.
So I realized that living with your pregnant wife, you don't really notice the changes of the belly. You see her everyday so you cant tell that it's growing except when you look at old pictures. I thought I would put some pictures up of the transformation from when we first found out she was pregnant, until yesterday, 30 weeks along.

Week 22 Day 7 - A Little Too Hot
11:30am
It feels really warm out today. My car says 88 degrees, but it seems like 100. I like nice weather, but too warm isn't good. Supposed to thunderstorm later and cool off a bit.
My wife got a lot done around the house yesterday. Time to start inviting friends and family over, and not have to be embarrassed by the all the stuff laying everywhere still. We hung a few pictures and decorations last night.
This morning I couldn't get the garage door to shut. I couldn't yesterday either. It would start to go but then pop back up like something was blocking the sensors. It sure is annoying especially when you need to leave and can't. I aligned the sensors correctly and that work last night. Not sure what the deal was this morning. If I can't figure it out I guess we will have to make another call to the landlord.
Here's my fancy strawberry jello I found in my lunch today.
Mmm whipped cream on top too. No wonder I'm getting fat.
3:57pm
My wife and my grandpa are taking his truck to go pick up our baby furniture. The crib and the dresser. It looks like I will just meet them at home, and help unload. Hopefully I can find someone to help us because my wife and grandpa shouldn't be lifting anything. We didn't realize we would have to get it today but it is what it is.
